What we Offer/Directions
We are a chapter of the National Safety Council and a member of the Florida Association of Safety Councils.
The NCFSC provides:
Traffic Safety Classes, including:
- Defensive Driving (Basic Driver Improvement)
- Advanced Driver Improvement
- the Traffic Collision and Avoidance Course
- the Drug, Alcohol and Traffic Education Course
- the DUI Program (Level I, Level II, and Supervision) for the 8th Judicial Circuit
- other courses upon request
Occupational Safety Classes and a Professional Safety Certification program.
Community Safety Activities including:
- grants to provide free bike helmets to children in need
- low cost bike helmets for anybody
- support of Project Graduation;
- safety news releases to the media
- public service announcements
- safety information and speakers for the general public and businesses
- participation in the Alachua County Traffic Safety Team and the SafeKids Coalition
- The Step Forward program for at-risk teens
- Safety Resources such as posters, brochures, First Aid Handbooks
Publications, including:
- Accident Facts
- Safety Inspections Packaged Training Program
- Today's Supervisor
- 14 Elements of a Successful Safety and Health Program
- 7 Elements of a Successful Environmental Program
- others on specific topics for a safer workplace or home
